Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Employee Engagement Survey

Isn’t it ironic- we haven’t received the survey yet? Last year it came out on August 7th. And did Anthem make (I mean buy) their way into the Fortune 100 best companies to work for in 2024? I see an email from April 2023 bragging about it but nothing so far this year.

Guessing they don’t really care about our opinions anymore…. SHOCKER?

There is no such thing as an anonymous electronic survey. Each person has a unique code identifier for their survey, which is why they say not to forward it to anyone.

I always see that fortune thing and wonder who the heck they’re interviewing and asking these questions of because the people that actually work for this company hate it.

Very true about managers being measured. Our group had a HORRIBLE manager. I mean, NOBODY on the team liked them. It wasn't that they were mean or anything. They weren't. They just seriously couldn't manage people AT ALL. They immediately got taken off from that position and a new one was hired. The bad manager didn't lose their job. They just got moved. But it was obvious and embarrassing for them. Oh well.

I heard today that the employee survey won't be coming out until October. Probably didn't want to send it out now because all the RIFs happening... Don't want that to skew their results in anyway even though a couple of months won't really cushion that blow

Do NOT express yourself in the comments section of the engagement survey. They CAN figure out it is you. Don’t take the risk.

Literally no one says it, that award is purchased, and it's always more of an honorable mention than actually placing. We were 58th this year.

Someone on my team mentioned about three weeks ago that the surveys should be coming out any day; I didn't expect they would, anticipating 8/8, so am not surprised. I'm guessing if they even bother this year, they'll reframe the questions in such a way that all feedback ties back to direct managers instead of senior leadership.

Managers are measured based on survey results, at least in part. And then there is often an exercise about how to improve. Seems like a lost cause this year!
