Where next after Dell? Where are ya all applying for? Market is flooded with tech guys

KFC chicken fryer. Taking direct customer orders at no margin while keeping the secret recipe under NDA. Almost The same job I did at Dell. Being in a greasy environment is a piece of cake after being around greasy management at Dell.
@1pkl+1tZIXMZF the harsh reality is, in the new world, very few jobs at Dell are considered "tech jobs". Dell is considered a legacy hardware company. When you see openings for "tech product management", they are looking for software experience, coding, Python, etc. If you are interested in those types of roles, I would strongly advise you to take classes, get certifications on those types of things.

I honestly don't know. It's been over 20 years since I've had to do a job search. And the things I'm hearing about finding a tech job in the Austin area is depressing, to say the least.
I ended up going active duty. I'm in the army reserve and as soon as I found out about the layoffs I bolted. I make much more money as an army officer than Dell. Which is sad.
Been out of job for several months now. I received some calls, but all below my grade level. The market is tough, and the interviews even tougher, with multiple job reqs going on hold with budget cuts. Hang in there and keep applying
