@ ddv+1tXhBOqR. Can you share more about outsourcing case management? They’ve tried this 2-3 times before. Philippines, Italy and Israel? Each time it was a disaster. Overseas folks have no understanding of American culture or health care so cant provide the needed information and assistance in finding services to solve for SDOH issues, dc plan etc. never mind the language barrier. Not that I put anything past them right now!
What has happened to you is horrible but it's also legal unfortunately. "Your employer has legal authority to terminate your employment during and after you take FMLA leave. For example, if your employer must reduce its workforce (commonly called a Reduction in Force or “RIF”), your employer can lay you off so long as they do not do so, specifically because you took FMLA leave."
Uhhh, that’s not legal. FMLA states you will have A job when you return. It may not be the same job, but you will have a job. I would seek counsel if I were you!
Having to deal with a job loss on top of having a new baby? How heartless are they???
Wow ! So sorry to hear that . Word is that Carelon global solutions in India and the Philippines is to take all of case management !! SMH more offshoring
Keep your eyes peeled for if your role is replaced with someone, even a different title.
I personally know someone who was in the same situation a few years ago, took it to attorneys when she caught wind she'd been replaced by someone with a different title with the same responsibilities, and the case was settled quickly.
Is that even legal?!
Those dirty rats 🐀
I am so sorry this happened to you...I truly am. Wishing you all the best!
