Laid Off and now just received an internal job offer a week later!! Don’t know if I even want to return or just take my severance and move on! The companies culture has changed so much in the past 10 years and I’ve honestly enjoyed this week of peace. Blessed to have the offer though. Anyone else getting offers after the layoff?

I decided to turn down the internal offer and I’ll take my severance. I got an external offer with a competitor!!! Never looking back!!
What did you decide?
Depends on your personal financial situation and skills. If it were me, given my current current situation, I’d take the severance with the goal of hooking up somewhere else so I can double dip on salary.
Take the internal job, but make it your job to look outside of the organization. This place su-ks the life out of you.
You’re free, don’t look back!
Take the severance and run as fast as you can! This company is tanking and will probably be sold in the next few years!
If you return that soon, they will take back the severance. I'd think hard about next steps.
This is a difficult one. Heck, we all need jobs to live, and the market is horrible.
Just consider this:
- How long of notice were your provided on the layoff
- The company as a whole is not secure. You could be here again in a matter of months. Or again, next year.
- The stress that comes with the job AND constantly not knowing. Sure it could happen anywhere, but we know for sure it's happening here.
