Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Any clue on when layoffs are coming?

Some rumors indicate the end of August or sometimes in Sept. Do we know more? I’ve polished my resume a while ago, and been sending it out. Just in case. Change would actually be nice.

Will MA really experience layoffs before the end of the year? Every meeting related to the transition, they include the number of bodies promised to HCSC. The number has been stated before and they’ve openly said how many are currently employed, so there really only seems like there are 5 extra people. Five people will easily quit at the rate of the workload before December.

The math ain’t mathing. Maybe they are lying regarding the body count they must bring; it’s obvious they are lying about other simple things like they don’t know the PTO structure, etc. when it is spelled out on HCSC’s website.

I work in Digital and my manager told me to prepare for layoffs in our area this Thursday.

I expect MA to continue reducing headcount as they work through DMOM. MA data and analytics just had a reorg, so cutting people is the logical next step.

I’ve heard early September that the digital team at Cigna will see cuts along with MA teams.

Probably didn’t need to start a new thread for a topic that’s discussed in other active threads.
