When a CFO speaks they mean the financial year so if SH said no more cuts that’s till July. The cuts now will be forward looking to save money in fy25 and reinvest in growing business areas (of which there are none) - and then this will repeat after 2q again until ceo is part of the cuts or magically business actually grows. Who was naive enough to assume that SH meant whole of 2024 ? You should be first on the list for 2025 cuts

You should expect about 95% shitposting on an anonymous forum. Even mine.

In the Feb results they mentioned cuts in q1 of fy25 if you read the details. My VP also stated directly that he was not expecting further cuts in fy24. Cisco hasn’t processed perm applications for almost a year due to continuous layoffs. It all indicated that August would be quiet and October would be bloody. But Chucks golf buddies probably didn’t like the stock price , so he decided to chop and bump the price. On the other side , they completed splunk merger early, so that could have also played a role in changing the decisions.

Didn’t SH say no more layoffs for this year? Will CR blame people for leaking rumors about layoffs instead of addressing the elephant in the room?
