Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

OCOO heads are spinning right now

Schedule an all hands meetings yesterday afternoon then cancel it one hour before it’s scheduled to start because “there has been a lot for our teams to absorb”. So “take some time to process” everything and how about we have a town hall next month where everything happening will simply be glossed over. I would love to see the pre submitted questions they got.

This is crazy. When are the heads going to start to roll, ie be fired? Wealth leadership and institutional leadership needs to be cleaned out. Who will go ?

The class action lawsuit against TIAA and Morningstar is simply another example of TIAA breaching their fiduciary duty. TIAA continues to make the same greed driven decisions expecting different results.
We have a legal fund set aside to settle suits such as the new class action lawsuit, however, they will need to rebuild the coffers and how do you think they will do that-more expense management, layoffs and sending operations to India. They may also look at benefits, VC comp, healthcare etc.
Now may be the time to determine if your career goals can be met working for this organization.

Cyber hosted a town hall only for the CISO to be spineless and not take questions

They avoided all questions about the chief commander. I think they wonder where she’s at as well.

My head would be spinning too. The lawsuits are a big body blow to their business along with all the other announcements.
