Or will there be layoffs elsewhere? Why so hush-hush? At this point everybody’s been demoralized and nobody expects nothing but layoffs.

For now it is Jacksonville and Denver. Additional sites - smaller local offices - will gradually close. Main offices will be Charlotte, Frisco, Chicago, NYC (for now)…
Once IT located in New Jersey is down to acceptable levels, Iselin office will close with all support relocated to India, Charlotte and Frisco.
Few openings exist in Charlotte, everything geared towards Frisco. There is a 2500 employee count that needs to be met in Frisco. 600ish from Lewisville do not count towards that 2500 number. Add the two together and you get more layoffs outside of Frisco so more hiring can happen in Frisco - payroll balancing.
You should always be expected to be let go and always keep an eye out for leads on new jobs; it’s a good way to make sure you’re being paid for the value you bring to a company.
That said, we all want to know if anyone is hearing rumors of continued layoffs. Feels like this is October 2023 all over again when SMD’s that get paid the most were let go first followed by the rank and file.
You have a job at a company. You are always at risk of a layoff. I don’t understand why this question always comes up. We are also trying to be profitable and they are worried about it right now. Does someone really have to say you are at risk of a layoff in the company? It couldn’t be much more obvious everyone is at risk if they think they can do it with less.
