There are definitely RIFs going on at UHC today; mostly higher-level positions were eliminated from my department. Overall, less than 1% of my department was affected.

Elevance Health just had one last week and maybe today and it's 10% reduction headcount. Strange how all the healthcare industry are going through the exact thing. Good luck to you guys UnitedHealth and stay strong through this RIF. Rumors for us another one maybe looming 08/22.
All orgs within Optum and UHG are looking for cost reductions of at least 10% for 2025. I do not know about 2026. This will be any way they can get it. RIF, no backfill for attrition if possible but offshore is first in line for backfill, automation then move employees. The % cost reduction could be much more in non vital or contractually required work. Guys its not going to stop likely just worsen.

What business unit specifically?
We all know there are moving so fast and constantly merging departments, but can you share a high level over view as to what you are hearing?
