Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Earnings call on 8th Aug

We the execs took our lootings again so no money left. We have been travelling the world fully expensed which has costs millions but were loving it, we can Be in New York and then if we fancy a trip out just goto London, India, Singapore, Brazil, list is endless... In meetings with employees we stress that the shareholders pay the employees and they can't afford it, but we the execs are above the shareholders and we can do what we like. Please add more excuses used.

@2riw+1tSfILMQ I never said work yourself into the ground, but be professional or leave!

Being profession, do your job, don't put in lots of late or weekends unless it's a real emergency or to help a team member

All narrative on this site is polarised that you should either just leave - and do what exactly? Or be professional, where the expectation seems to be you should work yourself into the ground giving the company every second of your life.

Company values have to cut across all layers, and there has to be a reward and recognition for doing a good job. Mutual respect that both management and technical staff know what they are talking about. And there has to be consequences (usually a lack of pay rise, and eventual dismissal) for not contributing.

These things are totally lacking in DXC. We watch our inept colleagues faff about achieving nothing. Management who think 9 women can have a baby in 3 weeks. Yet they all get the same 0% pay rise, and everyone thinks they are the good guys as they attend all the calls and agree we (someone else) can do that task in a few days.

I hate this company. But with 2 years to retirement, and a salary that tells prospective new employers I'm not that great - you can understand why we're all fed up and feel the need to vent on sites like this. You might also see why we're not doing as much as we can and certainly not as much as we used to.

With all that traveling I am sure there are amazing stories they will share with the analysts..... if not they save those for the town halls to ki-l time instead of addressing the real issues. They are all rather boring.

Ra Wool will start off with his custom, I've only been in post for 250 days etc. Then he will speak about his globe trotting adventures and the lies about employee engagement which doesn't exist.

He will bull about a turnaround, the one Mikey talked about for 5 years, 2024 Wad supposed to be pivot to growth year.

Now that the execs have got their raises through Del Bean counter the CFO will then bull about provisions so they can try and make it look bad and get round delaying employees pay.

Throw in a few macro type economy issues excuses, note we have been through a full economic cycle and these id--ts cant grow the company.

The analysts questions will be avoided with vague answers and the merry go round will continue for another quarter.

Its like a TV series.

@1ebv+1tSfILMQ I am an Ex DXC employee that posts on X, Facebook , Linkedin (where analysts and customers see it ) about my displeasure with DXC not giving merit pay increases. But at least I can say I was mostly professional in my 49+ years in IT , including DXC.

You act like a naughty little baby on this site. Grow a pair and change employers if DXC is so horrible

@yic+1tSfILMQ If you do not like the comments on this forum then grow up and go to another forum (such as glassdoor or LinkedIn) where there are plenty of fake positive reviews by HR and Corporate Communications.

: @vwv+1tSfILMQ I agree with what you say except "When you want to pay a professional wage, we'll think about doing a professional job."

I worked for DXC for 13 years, and always did a professional job as its my nature, worked lots of OT when I thought I was either helping my team or the customer, but at the same time only did that if I thought it was right.

Since in the US we got 9 days off every month I took advantage of this loop hole as much a-s I could. If you took 10 days you would need to wait 30 days before more time off.

Bad management, dissatisfied staff, and a lack of direction on how to change it is not unique to DXC. Suggest where all our problems will be solved and we'll move. Until then, still trying to change it from the inside. No prospect of a pay rise with another global economy crash. Least in a company you've been at a few years and where nobody else cares, you really don't have to do much to be employee of the month.

Your skrewing us so were skrewing you. We learnt from Mary just do 3 emails every year.

You at the top are nothing but bandits grabbing everything you can then telling us another story.

Where is the money for all your trips, pay, and stock options coming from.

We the workers, figured we've done the hours you pay for, especially as it's a nice afternoon here, and know we'll get the same 0% whatever we achieve or don't. Meanwhile my colleagues are lost in paperwork nobody reads anyway. So I figure it's better value to go cut my lawn and sack off work than employ a gardener to do it. See ya tomoz. When you want to pay a professional wage, we'll think about doing a professional job.
