Elevating Respect in the Workplace

Popped up in email this morning, a required training by the above name.
Are they kidding? Obviously not. I’m sure it’s the usual platter, but it doesn’t seem that leadership has to do these. There certainly won’t be any respect this Thursday when some of us get an “It’s not personal; it’s just business” chat.
What are they thinking? Not the right time to do this. I think I’ll wait until Thursday before I schedule any niceness training.

It's just a facade to uphold 'Forbes one of the best places to work' recognition. Right...one of the champions of the 'culture commons' once told me to go F myself for submitting a report that didn't line up with what they wanted it to say.

Mine has been usually quiet, for the past week and a half. Unsettling.

@opj...Same as usual and that is a good thing. Concerned greatly but focusing on work as usual, while hoping for favorable outcome. Thx for reaching out. Hope you are having a good day.

Curious how everyone’s work day was today? As usual, increased hectic, or quiet?

Just an fyi. Not that it mattered much or at all. But upon my last day from a RIF. I wrote Gail and her posses a nice email outlining everything , that I could see from experience and just hall talk, how messed up everything is internally, and from a customers perspectives. I sent it to several of her team I'm sure someone read it. . it was pretty detailed.

Won’t they still require to complete the training even if RIF’d, otherwise they might withhold the SUP? 😳

I came here to post the same. I had a team meeting last week and it was all about “embracing change” lol. The writing is on the wall. And now we should respect the people who are about to lay us off or our colleagues.

Yes, I agree. The timing couldn't be any worse. Maybe they are afraid we won't respect those that are throwing us out on the street...???

Hopefully managers and above take the training as well because this place has become a toxic sh-t hole.
