Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Executive Compensation

It is so comforting to know that the folks who took this company from a 10 billion dollar valuation down to a 2 billion dollar valuation, who burned through a billion dollars in cash from the L3Harris sale, who supervised the failed VS3F1 launch and who continue to "lead" this company into a 4th round of layoffs, collectively took home nearly 40 million in compensation makes me so f*cking angry. Meanwhile the rank and file got a 3-5% "raise". Enjoy your pittance friends! Maybe Guru will bless us with another one of those million dollar selfies...

It would be interesting to see Guru's goals and accomplishments that merit this pay.

If you are so angry, just quit already
Crying and moaning on this site doesn’t change anything and the executives obviously don’t care. Time to abandoned ship…. If you are just gonna wait, the less likely you would even get a severance package, might as well quit if that’s your end goal

The board argues about what's best for the company, but they always know what's best for the executives.

The bigger the flop, the fatter the payout. And that sums it up, as there's no other explanation for this embarrassment.
