Unless they are done strategically by competent people who know what they are doing. I can’t remember when was the last time I saw such top manager or heard of one. Whatever comes next must be strategically done by mgmt who has vision grounded in reality, or everything will be going just downhill from here.

With Nigel leaving will we be able to use BCG less? (Please?!?) 😬
Happened five years ago - they are ridiculous - layoff chevron people to make room for consultants and then layoff consultants only to hire to see if they can handle the chaos because consultants were running the division - priceless
Find a seat at the table with all those consultants and you can influence their report outs and always remain standing. All these reorgs are opportunities, or at least have been for me. Always remain optimistic in front of your leadership team, one once of fear and you're branded.
they do it time and time again - been a few newbies that wanna show their stuff to the top brass in hopes of moving up - that is why they spend so much rotating consulting companies - they will spend millions to save a dime
I find it amusing how we’ve rotated through all the major consulting companies over the years who come in and support with the various re orgs and transformations. As if “well that one didn’t work, let’s try X-X”…
Ok, let’s quickly fix it and go from there!
The most frustrating thing is to see cvx spend millions to an outside company just to cut the wrong people and cripple us
