For those of you who have been RIF’d, how much work were you asked to do or expected to do after receiving the news? Personally, if I am chosen I plan on using all remaining PTO days and showing online in TEAMS while doing minimal to no work. Was there a threat of not receiving supplemental pay if you refused to work?

I think it depends on your leader
Personally I’d give very little, if any, work to someone that has been affected.
But I do know others that work them till their last day.
I was RIFd in 2012 and again in 20718 (I don’t remember which) and both times I did the minimum amount of work that was expected. I have been in a production based position, so I did not bust my a-s. If the RE was 60 touches per day, that’s what I did. That way they can’t say you slacked off because you did what was RE (reasonable expectation). Besides, what are they gonna do, fire you?
I was laid off 10.23. I was unceremoniously stripped of my work and took all of my PTO. I offered to help with the transition but was assigned absolutely nothing to do. My boss was really awful though and didn't like me at all. At least half the team has quit since then. She cut off all contact before I left.
I am from one of the states where I get full pay for unused PTO days so I worked through my last day.
I was a good corporate player through the end and made sure reinforced KT were done and did extra calls to make sure my 20+ years of experience and lessons learned were passed on.
But then I was ready for retirement and hoping to be RIF so my situation was different from others not wanting to be RIF’d.
My experience from 10/20.
Use all PTOs. Communicate your days with your manager. You earned it and legally you can. Just do necessary KTs, delegate your remaining work and focus on next steps after RIF. Probably your manager ask you to not be at pulse location on remaining days.
I think this will depend a lot on your leader. The last round, ours told those who were riffed to focus on themselves during their 30 days. In prior rifs under different leaders, they were expected to perform as if nothing had happened at all. But as the old saying goes, "what are they going to do, fire me?"
It never hurts to be able to list your current boss as a reference, though, so I'd follow whatever guidance you receive if that's something you prioritize.
30 days, sorry, not 49
I was RIF’d last October, but for my last 49 days I was “expected to support the Enterprise” which was very difficult because the time is needed personally to get things in order, unemployment, trying to find a new job, getting your resume updated, etc
