This post seems out of place. I was very pro Cigna for 6/7 years the last 3 have been he-l. Then IFP turned on me and i was abused in service opts being documented on a totally different product outside IFP to exclude me from other IFP roles. Then in IFP Operations I was put on a PIP plan to exclude me from more IFP roles. I got a masters degree and it was like a switch flicked. I know I’m a A+ employee and they do too. That’s why they have done everything they can to destroy me. I’m trying to find a new job and my manager doesn’t want to help me go anywhere in Cigna. My one on one’s aren’t on webex cause of “tech issues” on my supervisors side. I love writing and telling people about what happened because people need to understand just have depraved people can be. I’m glad you’re happy tho, but that can change in a literal second if they turn on you, good luck!

Fair enough. Cigna is not the worst of all possible employers for sure. But senior leadership sure makes it difficult to appreciate much about the company, and does much to negate any other positives that may exist.

@3hpq+1tQ00jul I was being more general, not talking about this particular OP. For example, I once mentioned that Cigna has more PTO and a higher 401k match than another job I applied to and got an offer for (a fact, and the reason why in that instance I chose to stay) and someone called me an HR plant hahaha

"Slightly dissenting"? Perhaps you should take a reading comprehension course before you post again.

It’s hilarious and so d-mb that anyone who has a slightly dissenting opinion is accused of being an HR plant. Cigna has 70k employees, of course some of them are overall

We are miserable, we despise Cigna and we cannot wait to move to HCSC.

Have y’all read the HCSC page on this site? It sounds way worse. Good luck, hope your experience differs but not hopeful

To HR/leadership - you can paint a tu-d gold and cover it in glitter but it’s still a tu-d. No matter how many like votes you try to give this posts, everyone knows Cigna is a huge dumpster fire.

HR is really working OT bringing those likes up! I can speak for my entire team in case management. We are miserable, we despise Cigna and we cannot wait to move to HCSC.

I know I’m gonna get downvoted to h*ll because this site only likes miserable people but yeah I like Cigna. No employer is perfect but the pros outweigh the cons for me. I get paid a ton for how much I work, have a good work-life balance, and love my direct manager and skip. If things change and the cons start outweighing the pros, I’ll get a job elsewhere. Cigna’s our employer, not our spouse, and so I’m not sure why people stay when it isn’t working for them anymore

A wonderful company wouldn’t set up things like FOW, Verint, and unreasonable expectations so they can fire people who have been with the company for decades and not pay them severance. That’s what a company who doesn’t care about their employees does not a company that’s wonderful.

Using too many benefits, and doing things like using all paid sick days is a good way to end up on the layoff list. There is a reason they bury a lot of benefits on IRIs. They want to be able to legitimately tell new hires that we have lots of benefits and perks, but then they don’t actually want to pay for people to use them. It’s a catch 22. You better watch yourself OP, cause if you are a heavy benefit user HR is definitely watching you. And we will see how lucky you feel when you get laid off in this terrible job market.

If you love Cigna why are you reading and posting in a lay off site? Read the the room. Oh wait, better get a good read on Cigna too. You might love Cigna, but I don't know how much Cigna will bend over backwards to show they love you too :/. In the meantime, don't lurk here so that you can stay positive and grounded. Learn as much as you can in case you realize it won't be your forever home.

100%. I can accept that some employees are more positive than I am. I cannot accept that anyone, in good faith, would believe that Cigna is "such a wonderful company to be in". Unless you are part of the SLT of course

OP is clearly leadership and trying to perform some damage control.

OP you should probably just stop talking. You are the minority at Cigna. Everyone else is tired of being treated like sh-t and working like a slave.

OP here ,it’s not toxic positivity guys. I had my own troubles , but that were typically due to some notorious colleagues or indifferent managers. But that’s really not exclusively a Cigna problem. There are tough people everywhere you go.
But if you just open Iris, there are plenty of resources you can use if you are an FTE. Lot of times. People don’t know about them. They don’t take advantage of the benefits the company is handing out for free.

Again,my intention was not to trigger anyone but rather shift your attention to some opportunities. Yes. Lot of people including me do not like FOW. But we CANNOT do anything about it.
Remember that lady who beautifully put her question in the town hall? (I mean please put her in place of Harris and I am voting for her)
And also the other lady who asked similar question.
They were both shut down by DC saying , Hey thank us that it’s not 5 days a week.
So yes , that surely su-ked .

But now what ? We cannot form a union, or stop complying or do anything about it except leaving the company. But guys , it’s absolute madness out there. No body is hiring enough right now.

Since we cannot do much , let’s at least use ALL the freebies !!

Downvote me all you want, but you guys just don’t want to take advantage of the good stuff and just look at the bad stuff. If you only look at bad stuff, you gonna get more bad stuff. That’s how the universe works. So best of luck fellas, I am gonna have a beautiful weekend with some free passes I got from the IRIS site while you all waste your time looking for more bad news.

Bye bye bye

Blech. Stop gaslighting people with your toxic positivity. Either you're very well compensated to overlook what they're doing to employees and customers or you are oblivious. I wouldn't brag about your joy in either circumstance. Read the room and have some empathy for your fellow workers.

I wouldn't say I love it, but I have done a lot worse jobs for a lot less money. If it was sincere, I appreciate the OP trying to be positive. Not enough positivity in the world these days. Embrace the grind everyone. Have a great week!

Since you used to work at a landfill, I can see why you would say that. It’s comparatively better than a dump, or meat packing plant, or being on work detail in prison. But let’s not forget that this is a mega-corporation with a business model of taking peoples money and figuring out how not to pay for healthcare they almost certainly need.

OP here, I know some people were triggered . But honestly, there are a lot of good things about the company. Let the bad things not cloud the good things. Enjoy the good things too. So just was trying to add some positivity to your day.

Yes, there's pro Cigna people here. You can easily identify these HR plants as well as the executive trolls and their bootlicking subordinates by their comments being downvoted to he-l.

Thriving here really requires a mastery in the art of strategic posterior osculation. Advancement here is a finely tuned exercise in securing executive favorability. Success here isn't measured by your grind, but by your finesse in amplifying executive optics.
