we can no longer schedule/use associates for something outside the scope of their job title/duties. even if nobody else is available. so unless the associate was hired specifically to do truck/housekeeping they are not required to do so. you can ask them, but if they say no, you can't do anything. just be mindful if they report it above store manager or to the excel line, you will get written up.

As a beauty associates I am tasked on a daily basis with things I was not hired for. This has been going on for a long time in my store.
We had an elderly (over 65) assocaite refuse to push a large transport of freight out on the floor, she filed a formal complaint with HR, within two weeks, the store manager was gone. The problem was the freight sat out on the sales floor until 3pm when the sales assocaite came into work, they left it for her to do. The RVP asked the store manager why between 8am and 3pm nobody touched it, and she couldn't provide a valid reason. Just sayin'!!!!
yes, if you are doing something you were not hired to do.
So if we are doing tasks outside of our area we can report them?
Our store manager was fired for doing this
How about commission cosmetics associates being used as cashiers or recovery?
