Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I am surprised - only a transaction

Why the surprise about family? You have only a transactional relationship with Intel. You owe them nothing more than a days work and they owe you the agreed salary. I dont understand why this is hard at the end of the day fu-k intel if they dont make it they dont make it you go and agree to another transactional agreement with someone else. They use terms like family which is a sign that management is full of sh-t and only trying to manipulate you. Intel income is zero you must understand they now have no future.

When I joined back in '95, it was a family. About 2K is when it started off the cliff.

  1. Do you know someone on the team or have a good feeling about the team from the interview?

Choose the company you work for wisely! Do not be blind to the realities of business and the bottom line.

  1. Are they profitable?
  2. Do they support an innovative culture?
  3. Do they have enough run-way to support R&D through product introduction?
  4. Do they have customers on-board now?
  5. Are sales projections realistic?

Pat talked about "his flock" when he became CEO. Eventually the cattle and sheep get to the sla-ghterhouse.
