I do the minimum I can get away with and that's it. There are days when I barely do anything. Give me one good reason why I should be doing more. I'm a firm believer in "give back as much as you get." Considering how little I've been getting from TIAA (other than in the way of stress, because I've been getting plenty of that), even the little I'm giving back is too much.

Never give any job 100% because eventually you’ll have to do more due to layoffs or people on your team changing jobs. Do about 50%. Then when you give 75% they’ll praise your hard work and at 100% maybe you’ll get you that promotion.
Also most higher ups don’t even give 50%. So taking “leading by example” into account, you shouldn’t do more than them since they get paid more and don’t want to make them look better (or worse) by doing more than them.
That being said it seems see a lot of people are only giving about 25% lately. Toxic T and her cronies making their money and burning out the candle of their workers at both ends who don’t even have their paper right trying to help clients get theirs right.
We deserve better!
Milk it out until we get the big boot
Better late than never.
A lot of people have been doing that for years.
oh i’ve been doing that since we were sent home at the beginning of Covid. My
job isn’t measured by metrics so i have no numbers to track or goals to hit. One week just for fun I kept track of how long i worked and it came to about 3 hours and 40 minutes. For the whole week. Not per day. Cr-ppy or no raises and bonuses for years so I was forced to cut my hours to create my own pay hike ;-)
I suggest you watch “Office Space”
Great movie. Very funny but with an underlying foundation of pure truth for anyone whose worked for mediocre firms.
