Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Earnings call

What a disaster performance, ExxonMobil earning is up 17% and we are down, that sets the stage for yet another horrible CIP and justification on another huge re-org and layoffs. Good luck to all, it is always working bees that will be thrown under the bus, some the key executives responsible, are jumping off the ship with big fat compensation at the cost of working bees. This is disgusting to see no accountability at higher leadership.

love the comments about emperor & bod reaction.

in addition to terrible operating results - what hit the headlines yesterday AND WHAT DID NOT ?

ANS: move to houston, AND EXXON ARBITRATION FOR HESS MOVED TO MAY 2025.

the hess arbitration cost shareholders hundreds of millions yesterday alone - love it when MW came out with 'we did due diligence' earlier (translation: we did not do ANY due diligence).

what the bod will do when facing inevitable shareholder lawsuits ?
why don't they start with two bod members' opinions: mw and hess ?
ANS: nothing's happening as institutional investors make up 65% of voting - but that won't stop gunslinger attorney's from their fees.

btw YTD Stock Return per Market Watch 10:30AM:

CVX: -1.29% (that's negative 1.29)
XOM: +16.18%

but let's all talk about houston move from cali - unreal "leadership".

It’s tough, you see pockets of excellence such as Permian and even little ol SJV who’s days are numbered, gonna give almost a billion back to the corp after forecasts were less than 600m. And op is exactly right, this will be another year of a low CIP. We can only control what we can control at our level. It really does make you ask where is the accountability on the executive level?

Couldn't agree more. Not sure how the board is keeping MW in his seat.

It'll be nice to see the reckoning coming to the petrotechs who've been sitting on their butt since getting that fat petrotech bump. Axe man cometh.

I thought triple crown was going to save this company and subsurface at Chevron was the best in the world... Whoops!
