So as the absorbtion of FDS into DXC continues or TUPE as they like to call it, yesterday saw the final nail in the coffin of FDS after 37 yrs of a respected company comes to an end with all the senior managers being made redundant EMEA General Manager gone, EMEA Head of HR gone, UK&I General Manager gone, Head of Finance gone plus a few others, this once good company sacrificed on the alter of DXC mismanagement by from their directors who are still wet behind the ears with no idea how to balance the books. And instead of looking closer to home they use the old adage of “ we need to save money, let’s sack the Tea lady”

DXC are pure poison, deriving from HP's failed attempts to understand the Compaq and EDS business models and the failing, services elements were spun off and merged with CSC to create DXC amongst a flurry of layoffs. Been the same ever since. The share price has been tanking ever since DXC was created despite numerous quality CEOs taking the helm (sarcasm).
They all great big idjuts with no thought other than their own personal profit. Advice to employees is leave asap. There is no shame in it.
@1khr+1tNzdmCp in all of emea? Or just uki?
The clue is in the job title where it says EMEA ie EMEA General Manager
all the senior managers being made redundant EMEA General Manager gone, EMEA Head of HR gone, UK&I General Manager gone, Head of Finance gone plus a few others
Finally DXC is making the right moves and getting rid of duplicate players! Good Job DXC!!! nn

FDS is a wholly owned subsidiary of DXC Technology and although an integral part of delivery operations in EMEA, is a separate legal entity. So of course it's merged to cut duplicate functions to save money, it makes sense but you idioms don't understand
I think you misread the OP, I don’t think they were trying to say “ think if the poor execs” it was more about the demise of what was once a good company in its various guises from Granada to Synstar to HPCDS to FDS
@xdr+1tNzdmCp funny how there where non stop complaints from posters here about how terrible working at FDS is and that the managment su-ks. Suddenly DXC fires them, tears down the walled garden between fds/dxc and now the narrative is think of the poor execs. LOL FDS had no reason to exist, alot of the services they offered to BAE weren't even worth it. Just revenue used to pad the top line and disguise how bad the situation really is.
Funny, FDS was just a delivery group with extra overhead and even before DXC merger there were plans to sell or integrate as it added no extra value being separate.
FDS will suffer the same fate as one cloud company that got absorbed into DXC. Management of said company sacked, redundant functions removed, benefits stripped, bureaucracy added, and who knows what DXC does. Then 12 months down the line this current management wonders why the acquired company is performing so badly. Rinse and repeat.
Realistically for those of us who are deskside engineers what does this mean for us? I can't speak for all sites but ours has been told basically nothing.
Anyone who thinks they just sacked 'tea lady's' is delusional. This is a company of sharks. They got rid of the people who challenged or threatened them, or they just didn't like. Having known some of them, good riddance. Terrible place to work
