If I am offered retirement package, will I be on the same call as those who are not being offered retirement package? Just wondering! Thanks

The only early retirement package that has been offered - that I know of - again early retirement was eight years ago.
The last time I got cut (work/jobs farmed out to IBM), the SUP/severance package was different for folks based on age. If I recall correctly, at that time, if you were 62 or going to be during your SUP/severance period you did not have to sign up for state unemployment. The elephant would pay it all. And you could get another job with another company and not have your SUP/severance lowered. There was also something special with AIP.
Good luck to all!
I don’t think there’s a thing such as a “retirement package” anymore (if there was even one). There was an early retirement offered by the company a few years ago and was never again offered. I think too many (more than expected) accepted the offer.
If you get RIF and is of retireable age, you just inform HR that you want to retire at the same time and if you’re eligible an start drawing on your pension (not offered anymore), activate MRSA, and/or start drawing on your 401K. But I doubt you will be eligible for unemployment (based on your state’s rules).
Several weeks ago, a retirement package was asked about. While that thread have several replies, nothing more has been said. That package that was mentioned in there was initially done by email then there was a call. Again...this was a retirement package not a severance. And if you get RIF-ed and choose to retire is a whole different thing.
I did hear that a retirement package offering for 2024 was cancelled due to the two major contract losses this year.
I am still hoping for one!
I’m curious where the idea of a retirement package is coming from? That doesn’t sound like anything this company would want to do.
