If I take the PIP and decide in the middle to quit since in found a job, do I receive a package for the days left?

Unless things changed, the PIP could always be converted to PIL and your manager would try to question you about why, as if that was not obvious.

And of course, it should go without saying, when you do get that offer, while on PIP/PIL, never tell your manager. Just go start your new job while getting that PIL paycheck…

XOM is obviously super smart.

Yes, you can convert to Pil anytime during PIP. The end time is the same. You got paid as if you are still working for Exxon while working at your new job. Double paychecks for a while. Good luck!

I thought by choosing the PIP you forgo the opportunity to take the severance pay. But don’t you have a contract you have to sign that spells that all out?
