I work for Aetna, and it just seems like I am treading water lately. I.e. there is no direction, projects seems stalled. When I try to start something my boss just says “let’s hold on that for now.” or has another excuse. Is anyone else feeling this way? Or is it just me and my team? Can’t be a good sign.

Seems they are phasing the Aetna folks out after this 5 year safety net has passed. I'm an Aetna employee and my boss said he doesn't know of any layoffs but to expect.
remote, us based. no signs of layoffs, work as usual. im a principal level and work with two other cheap Cognizant engineers. im waiting so i can get severance , and use it to find something better, im close to 40 and 6 figure
I know, at least I'm praying, that I'm out the door next. My whole team was laid off on the last reorg and I was put on another team across the country. Yes I'm remote. It used to be required to have weekly team huddles-we haven't had any for months. I've been working my butt off and my team ignores me and gives me attitude when I bring up any issues that I'm seeing. Never even took the time to introduce me to the team. We've just had a couple of huddles in the last month and nobody says a peep. I don't know why they kept me but I'm really hoping next time around I'm out. Good luck to everybody - whether you want to stay or not I hope you get your wish. But be careful what you wish for!

Yep, same here for the last few months. I get conflicting direction from my lead and manager and when I email to resolve the response I get is to just keep doing what I'm doing, I'm fine. I'm taking that to mean that I'm probably out the door pretty soon. It's so sad, it seems like everybody has just given up and doesn't care about our customers anymore. I get that CVS has been slowly ki-ling us but our customer still deserve what they need. I guess I am a dying breed and will be gone soon because I care and don't just push buttons to get numbers out. Who knows what's ahead but please try to prepare yourself for the worst, it's just good common sense.
