I’m an LL and got the request today to cut 5% in a reasonably small dept. Have no idea if this only local cuts or what at this time. Sorry to report this.

Stellantis just cut 30% of its workforce with its packages...no need for 11000 souls to be working from home and doing meetings while jogging and playing pickle ball....

Ford needs to cut 80% of the Board, the “executives,” and LL4s and above.
If we got the right 80% axed, we might be in better shape.

There is prudent rationale for this. With Ford's documented recent improvements in reliability and the move to higher mix of BEV's, less resources for servicing will be required.

What does su-k is that good agency people can be lost. What comes after that is someone needs to continue the work they started or were doing. Falls on the remaining people like nothing happened. Yeah they still have a job, but there is more stress.
Agency folks always the first step, often in August
