People who were laid off or quit , did Cigna ever ask you to mail you PC or any hardware or furniture you had ordered during your time in Cigna.? It’s been around 8 months I left Cigna but no one really has reached out to me. I use all the hardware and furniture for mt new job but wondering if I should format the PC for personal use.

I was let go in January and got instructions on how to handle returning the equipment. I had to take it to the UPS office and send it back.
OP about to pop a new HDD in that bad boy and fire up some counterstrike
Cigna laptops are loaded with anti-theft BIOS. They can activate it anytime, do not format and keep Cigna laptops. It can be tracked via anti-theft agent.
You’re talking about plugging in a monitor or similar equipment, right? Are you able to login to a laptop from a prior role and access the network? If that’s the case, then I guess the day we knew was coming is finally arriving. The horrendous leadership will catch up and bite them back.
My manager had to arrange it through IT. My mgr sent me an email with instructions to drop off at a UPS store.
@1rdi+1tMIN9WN That’s concerning. Are you receiving your severance? If the paperwork was not signed in 45 days supposedly you would not be paid. I received the link to the docusign paperwork minutes after notification to both my work and personal emails. The instructions were in that document.
I’m pretty sure it’s in the handbook or something we have signed about returning equipment. I would call in on a recorded line, explain what you need, ensure the call is being recorded, and request a return label and boxes. Make sure you keep the name date and time of the call and employee id if you can get it.
Also fu--ing LOL to the paying claims right.
I was laid off in April. Still to this day I have not gotten any termination paperwork and the only thing was that request to send equipment back. I sent it back and it's like Cigna is all about "well we got our sh-t back and you were terminated so lol byeeeeeeee" even though by law they have to go over that with you
I had an WFH employee who left Cigna 2 years ago. She got the instructions to return her Cigna laptop, although it took 3 tries to actually get it picked up. She has called IT mobile support 5 different times about returning her Cigna cell phone, but they never follow up. She is afraid to throw away the phone in case she gets a a bill from Cigna two years from now when someone runs a report showing that she never returned it. She doesn’t know what to do with it.
Not exactly a flawless process. It’s no wonder we can’t pay claims correctly.
OP here. Thanks y’all. I was waiting for something like a mail communication as termination paperwork but didn’t receive anything. I had contacted my manager and was told wait for communication from them but it’s been 8 months and so I wanted to check what your experience been. I will try and contact Employee service center so at least a ticket is registered.
i am impressed with y’all’s Integrity, thank you.
And then you say "No one requested anything back from me and it's not my responsibility to coordinate that for you. If you'd like it returned, provide me with a postage-paid box and I'll send it".
Don't listen to this guy as his argument has no legal merit - because you are benefiting from the hardware after the end of your employment, you WILL be charged for it. I'm all for getting the upper hand when you can but return it, don't make this worse for you down the line
If you can, contact your manager and tell them about it and they will (well, they should) take care of it. They will tell you then, about how to return.
Definitely don't listen to @gof+1tMIN9WN. You're not "getting the upper hand"
It's part of the termination process to return your hardware so it will catch up with you eventually with some sort of bill
I took all my stuff to UPS with the instructions that were given to me and UPS took care of packing and sending. Surprised you didn't receive anything in your personal email, that is where they sent the instructions. I would be careful using it for a new position. Good luck.
Part of the termination package was instructions on how to return equipment and what needed to be returned.
But how do we reach out to them? Is it the CSC people who I should connect to ?
And then you say
"No one requested anything back from me and it's not my responsibility to coordinate that for you. If you'd like it returned, provide me with a postage-paid box and I'll send it".
The company leases our laptops. I would reach out to get them to send you return labels and boxes. They will eventually try to bill you for it whenever accounting and inventory catch up.
When Cigna starts doing the right things, I'd agree. They are actively sc--wing us, so if one of us can get an upper hand, go for it!
I'd personally reach out to them and force them to send me a box and shipping label for the fancy electronics. You don't want a random request or bill in a year. I doubt they care about worn cheap furniture, though.
After this long, though, maybe you can say you tried and it's their fault for not responding. They can't reasonably expect you to be a free storage closet for a year.
I returned all my equipment because a) it’s the right thing to do and b) I didn’t want a bill and / or theft charge in 3 years or whenever they have time to figure out I still had it.
@rjm+1tMIN9WN: Yes, but I cannot connect to VPN. Haven’t tried anything else on it. So thought I might do a factory reset. So needed to know how do they collect the machines from you . Also the furniture or other hardwares.
You still have a Cigna laptop?
And you can use it?
