Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Is Fidelity cycling employees?

I see many open positions. My company employees a larger number of employees and yet I do not see that many open positions. I know that Capital One cycles employees, the turnaround time is 1-2 years. I came across a technology position that I applied two years ago. I noticed that the salary is about 25% lower. Could anyone provide more information?

I'm in management in the Albuquerque center and it was hinted to us in an almost intimidating way that if we didn't stop complaining about no profit sharing .. and make sure our reports knew .. that they would shut us down and phase us out .. they've already shut down half the center. I've loved working here, but it makes me super sad... The vibe has changed.

Yup. So is Schwab and others. All got fat and now want to race for the commodity bottom.

If by cycling employees you mean recruiting, onboarding, and terminating employees by any number of means, then I’m inclined to think Fidelity could practice that. Just as an example: the average tenure of a branch rep in my area is approximately 5 years. (This includes the tenure of those in a branch manager role.) Makes you wonder what might be the reasons for this alleged churn and burn? A preponderance of compliance violations? Attendance issues? A slovenly, unkept appearance? It appears to be a mystery…
