Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Returning as a contractor.....

I'm hearing of a few of my old teammates in tech returning to their previous role as a contractor. Wage and benefits depend on the company you sign with.
Would you want to contribute to WF efforts after being bounced out...even if you enjoyed your role? Or look at it as a paying gig again.

Curious what the readers of this discussion board think.

If it pays good money, why do you care? Do you think many people retire and look at the company they retired from and opine about all the good things they did? Nope, most are happy to be retired and not working.

Not tech but I returned as a contractor and can confirm. I’m basically treated like everyone’s b1tch, no one gives me contacts and resources to do my job so I am just watching the whole thing I was hired for fail due to lack of leadership

They'll be treated even worse as a contractor.

If I got a package and then able to come back as a consultant I’d do it … for an obscene hourly rate (2x current salary at least).

I'm done with WF as an employer. I'd rather start new and fresh somewhere else than sell my soul back to this toxic backstabbing environment...
