Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Why hasn't Gainwell been exposed?

I left Gainwell when the mass layoffs hit late last year. Serious question: why doesn't the world see what the rest of us do? How is Gainwell hiding the inner turmoil, corruption, and chaos from the public and the states? I honestly don't understand. It seems like the failures of the company would be front page news. I don't get it.

Hello, we are investigative reporters for Bloomberg Law in Washington, D.C. looking at Medicaid, state contracts and fiscal agents, including Gainwell. I've been reading comments on these and other boards, and am interested in talking to people about the company, how it operates and its interactions with states and contracts.
It will be for background only, but we are looking to learn and it would be helpful to get a lot more detail.

You can check our bios and work history so you feel comfortable we actually reporters. We appreciate your help.

The post that suggests people should move on vs. exposing GWT has merit. Based upon insider source, states have legal options available if they feel GWT is committing fraud. Being a successful criminal at fraud requires smarts, and it's clear on these GWT pages that nobody things the top management at GWT is smart. Perhaps its the lack of smarts that's contributed to GWT's present state. Mike Salvino is looking real smart when he sold DXC's state and local health and human services business to Veritas Capital for $5 billion (that's now called GWT). Apparently, Salvino quickly realized he didn't understand the state government business and sold it to a willing VC firm. Perhaps the VC firm didn't understand what Salvino was selling.

Inside source claims the whole GWT - state client equation is messed up. If GWT cheats state clients, state clients have bureaucratic tactics to not pay or delay paying GWT. The end result is a lose-lose situation. The takeaway was GWT has poor service and products, but state governments stupidly ignore due diligence on GWT services and products. It's no wonder people want to "drain the government swamp." Unethical bidder meets lazy stupid buyer...the perfect storm.

Forget about exposing Gainwell. What if employees trying to expose are silently laid off abruptly and have to be concerned about paying their bills?

Don’t worry about Gainwell, just move on…

What Gainwell does is definitely illegal. It’s really disturbing how they continue to rip off the states and take their money while delivering very little. Definitely they don’t deliver what they promise. They lie and cheat and basically steal from the states. Missed SLAs and fake promises. It is absolutely crazy that it continues. The states are not happy and you have strained relationships because of not delivering anything and lying in the contract. And layered on top of that Gainwell is treating their employees like gum stuck on the bottom of their boot. Offshoring jobs and layoffs. And the ones that are working have horrible working conditions under managers that are stressed out and trying to save their own jobs. So employees have to worry every single day about layoffs. Not to mention that they have to try and work with no standard processes in place and no one knows what they are doing. This is all led by leaders that are incompetent. They have no business running a yard sale. No way they have any business running a shady business like Gainwell.

So yeah I like the idea of exposing them to the news. Drum up some investigations. Let the world see who they really are. Pull back the curtain.

I’m not the poster stating illegal activity. However it is illegal to create and offer contracts containing things that you cannot and have no intention of delivering. Gainwell does this on nearly every contract. sales are told to lie and promise things that cannot be delivered. Get the contract no matter what it takes. Then money is taken from the states. Targets are not met and yet money is taken. Highly illegal. And quite frankly unethical. Gainwell knows that states can’t just jump to another company very easily. So they continue to lie and make promises they can’t keep. Look at their track record. An extremely high, nearly all accounts, are not meeting SLAs. They have a significant amount of accounts that Gainwell is on a corrective action plan because they haven’t delivered. I agree with the poster saying someone needs to expose this facade. And national news exposing them is a fantastic idea.

Serious question: Could you be more specific about said "illegal" and corrupt activity that you feel would warrant national news? What is being done that is illegal? Immoral and toxic? Sure thing - welcome to Corp America but illegal and newsworthy. Is that just a random blanket statement on your part do you have details?

@Corruption at Its Finest

Someone is finally making some sense on this platform. Someone does need to contact a major news outlet and expose Gainwell with the story of what is going on inside the walls. A corrupt company that operates illegally and unethically. It would be big news. Investigations would start and boy oh boy would it be fun to watch. Billions of dollars of basically stolen money. Government money.

No one can be trusted at GW. This applies to the leaders especially. Cut throat and backstabbing. No one is trustworthy. The best thing for your health and wellbeing is to leave GW. It is a cesspool of bad leaders and brainwashed employees. The place is an absolutely horrible place to work and be part of.

I remember going to my manager's manager once. Big mistake. Particularly when I realized that they too were part of the problem and toxic culture.

Then my manager was put under a new manager due to the re-org. That individual is no better.

It has that feeling of being in the lowest position in a crime syndicate.

Fear. The employees are afraid to speak up. Afraid to blow the whistle. And some are in flat out in denial of what’s going on with this company. And Gainwell hides it well. They lie and try to brainwash their employees about the company. They buy fake awards and pretend to look good. It’s such a facade.

I suggest that someone talk to a major news organization and give an anonymous story about what is going on inside the company. This would expose them and most likely create several investigations that would bring down the corrupt company and its leaders.
