My team is engaging with the AI COE for a project. Does anyone here have any experience with this team they care to share?

The COE does not engage with the business at all. They build whatever AI is requested but have several failure points along the way when operations should be engaged, but the COE only says 'we designed as you requested. Horrible way to develop. They wondered why AI utilization was so low among the call teams... well they didn't integrate the processes. They do not want to engage with ops. My team identified it and spoke to it, then we received job elimination notices.
I've heard from a reputable source that this team is a nightmare. Their lack of business knowledge allows them to set expectations that are wildly off. Their inability to comprehend the challenges the business presents gives them the window to create a solution that fails. They will then blame the business for being resistant, or for not doing enough to promote practices to increase adoption. This group is like teflon. Sooner or later, though, the failed implementations have to eventually penetrate their pompous exterior.
It’s a waste of time. The org doesn’t allow the type of AI you’d want, and a certain leader doesn’t get it. Don’t expect her to chip a precious nail for you either. She pushed those reporting to her out of her team who worked hard probably in retaliation. They were getting annoyed of her focus on the wrong things and attaching to the effort which was smoke and mirrors.
From my experience, the COE in general across the board, have no clue how to incorporate “Enterprise” with the products they offer so most of the time, the correct product isn’t offered, vetted, or documented properly.
I cringe for you.
Also the newer TSE/CIP/Security reviews are so CRINGE.
