Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Will Schwab finally get rid of Project Managers?

I am not advocating it, but it looks like Project Managers are phased out?

If Schwab is going Agile, there should be no place for Project Managers?

They add zero value. A bunch of leftover waterfall washouts still working like it's the 1990s spending most of their time creating status reports. But the 2/3 remaining who weren't downsized last October are extremely talented at kissing STS CPMO management schwass.

Only the naive would dismiss those values.

A good PM, especially in an organization that can’t modernize or walk away from waterfalls, runs interference for the workers. This is a huge value? Or do you prefer to get texts asking status every five minutes from eight different mo--ns making $1m a year?

Use your PMs. They can make life much better than the alternative.

(Not a PM. Used to hate PMs. Now they ‘work’ for me!)

Does this mean we will finally fix the dysfunctional CPMO in STS?

That why , Harness next team is surviving.

  1. FTE are white as mayonnaise.
  2. Service Brown as Wheat

But both need to be revamped

Schwab is going to Agile?

That's a riot.

Just like we went to ITIL, Cobit, RUP, PCF, Kube, GCP...

We don't finish anything and we modify everything we do to make it virtually unrecognizable. Agile isn't coming. We will have lots of pretty waterfalls to look at as we warm ourselves on the mainframe.

PMs aren't going anywhere. And, if they do, we are even more sc--wed than we are.

Power of country is in it villages :- Indian philosophers Chanakya - 375 BC

Power of company depends on it long term employee :- Anonymous.

No company survive if it employee age in company is less 10 years, average age of Schwab employee 10-15 direct or indirect

They are going agile for last 10 years, they change title such as PO, Scrum master, ScrumAgile Master but they will kept.
Management is place where people are kept do less damage , they allowed to speak but over looked 90% of time
