Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

So Long Scrum Masters.........

It's been a pleasure to work with some of the Scrum Masters over the years that actually helped make a difference. Agile isn't popular, but some of the SMs here really did a great job. I do find it odd that our leaders can't even tell the SM's themselves but have to be cowards and do it through their contract companies. But actually it's on course with LT never thinking they can do any wrong.

Our SM is 110% useless. I can’t believe we pay some contractors.
Having an engaged, proactive, and servant SM would actually make a great impact to the team. We need to get better help.

Only contractor SMs are being released. Not applicable to blue badges who may get reassigned based on the level of rigor that a team would need.

There are legal reasons why Chevron employees can't notify contractors of impending cuts. It's always been this way.

What is going on as I haven't heard a thing? Are all SMs being let go? There are a decent amount who are not contractors but blue badges.

Hopefully this the beginning to the end of agile then. The amount of groups that only get stuff done due to their SMs is vast. Kanban forever!!!!!
