Many middle managers on DDIs are pretty embarrassing with their apathy and ineptitude
Why do you think they're moving so many resources off-shore. To cook the books and hide their inability to manage resources in an effective manner.
If they were effective managers, then you wouldn't be missing the SLA's that they are and wasting money on non-productive man hours.
I honestly don't think half of the managers can communicate or choose not too due to mere laziness.
The He11 with Gainwell and these ridiculous leaders. This place is so poorly operated it is amazing the world hasn’t noticed. They are openly stealing from the states and delivering nothing. Talk about unethical and illegal. And on top of that they treat their employees like Russian soldiers, cannon fodder. It’s a meat grinder and the employees are expendable. We mean nothing. We are hardly worth the time of these poor leaders to even acknowledge. They are waiting to fire all of us. It doesn’t matter how long you have been here or what you know. They don’t care about you or your knowledge and experience. You mean nothing. You are dirt on the bottom of their boots.
Get out now. Immediately.
From what I can see it is across the board. Nearly everyone is affected. It’s not hitting specific roles or areas.
I personally know of developers, BAs, PMs, and more. No one is safe.
Just this morning I learned of a group of PMs and BAs getting impacted. Something like 28 people let go.
It is absolute madness. These layoffs are stressful. I personally am out the door as soon as I can land something new.
Good luck to all.
What teams are being impacted with these large number of layoffs? Accounts? Are the people being laid off developers, BAs, PMs, etc?
More layoffs today. A team I have been working with lost over half of their team this morning. Approximately 14 people were let go. We are all in shock. I honestly don’t know how we are going to get the work done.
My leader said that we should expect these layoffs to continue for the foreseeable future. And that we should all get our resumes up to date. At least she is being real with us.
@Nope
No reasonable person would take a job at GWT if they knew anything about the company. They would run.
Anyone that thrives at Gainwell is not a good person. They have to hold the same unethical and illegal values as the company leaders.
I think some of it has to do with whom you're good in with. And if someone above you has your back.
I've dealt with some people that at any other company they would not have kept their jobs for very long. But they seem to thrive here.
How does this company still find people to work here?
Seriously. Anyone that does a little research would not come near this company.
@ Shocked
What roles?
@shocked my team lost 4.
I’m lucky enough to still be here. But the folks that got cut were not low performers. And they certainly did not make more than 180k.
I think it shows that no one and no team is safe working for GWT.
The layoffs continue. My team lost 7 this morning.
Heard that this news is true….silent layoffs every week.
It is combo of perf rating and high salaries. No one is specifically safe. Better to start looking for another job soon as a backup plan.
180K? Well I guess I'm safe then. When they first started Black Friday two years ago, that's what I heard. All the big salaries from DXC had to go.
So are the layoffs focused on high paid employees or low performing employees? Which is it?
Or is it as usual and it’s unpredictable who gets laid off?
