Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Who cares?

Why is everyone so worried about layoffs. The fact is we should all be hoping we get severance. If you're to valuable to be let go, you should be looking elsewhere. The fact is we're all underpaid and for the most part overworked. It doesn't matter what department, this is company wide. Other companies are paying their operations guys 58$+ an hr. RF is also drastically underpaid. The 3% raises are a slap in the face and our money is not going as far due to inflation. There hasn't been a meaningful promotion in the central region in over 3 years. T-Mobile should be ashamed of how they treat their employees. They don't care though as long as the stock keeps going up. Yet we all sit down and take it. We shouldn't be, there are better jobs out there.

This company is a joke. Ever since Mike “took the helm,” things have gotten steadily worse. The so-called leadership team, especially in the former Central Region is full of tyrants who do nothing but bark orders and expect everyone to follow them blindly! We all know the names, Urban, Castaneda, etc. In the meantime, those same “leaders” sit back, do nothing, and enjoy their undeserved pay. I’m so glad I no longer work in that shithole! I’d rather eat worms out of Kamala Harris’ butthole than to ever work at T-Mobile again. And no, I’m not disgruntled; I left on my own accord. Good luck to anyone who can’t afford to leave and has to continue listening to all the lies they’re being fed to keep them around long enough to su-k them dry until the next layoff!

As someone that was laid off last year, I agree you should be looking elsewhere. However, the wireless industry is full of people that cannot find work. 58$ an hour is way outside the norm if you can find it at all even if contracting with no benefits. My background is diverse enough that I was looking at RF, field and switch. Field and RF had the most openings and I saw nothing near that pay range with over 20 years of experience.

"Other companies are paying their operations guys 58$+ an hr."

Sounds like a contractor position. If not, which company exactly is handing out 58+/hr with full benefits etc? And at what level? Not going to be entry level that's for sure.

We just had a bunch of promotions couple months back. Many underserving ones for sure.
