Are there any whispers of a future (larger scale) layoff in the coming months?

I'm not in Appeals but I'm doing next to no work. Been that way since the day I was forced back to the office. No one seems to notice or care so I'm good with three full days each week of doing as I please.
Slow down productivity. Productivity in appeals is almost at zero the last few weeks. Are appeals not coming in or being sent off shore? Is there any notice given? Are UM nurses at risk?
Can anyone explain how someone knows the next layoff date and where they see it online? Curious
Which depts ? : @6dzi+1tE2s3Qe
Layoff date online is 8/15
I work as a lead in my team and I am really annoyed at the way things are working . I am not being informed about any strategy of offshoring and all of a sudden being asked to be a part of interview for HIH. It is so annoying. I have put a lot of efforts in training the consultants over here and all of a sudden they are replacing them with offshore. That too they are not keeping the Fulltime employees in loop. I was also asked to take an interview for which will clearly replace me. When I ask this, they are circumventing my questions.
Every single time upper leadership says “there is nothing to worry about” and then layoffs occur and they don’t talk about it and pretend like nothing happened. No job is safe. I have heard that August isn’t going to have many but September is going to be brutal as they look to cut a lot of jobs and transfer them to offshore hubs we’ve stood up this year.
8/8 is around the corner and less than a couple weeks ago I was reassured that my job in coaching is not at risk and they were not aware of any upcoming layoffs- lying or are they keeping more in the dark these days?
Does anyone know if/when health coaches may be impacted? I never hear anything about it but I am told, no job is safe.
8/8 seems like a very off time to do so but nowadays nothing should be surprising
I heard 8/8 and very significant impact to all areas.
My understanding is that it will be company wide and quite large.
I’m so sorry people are having to deal with the toxic environment Cigna has become. I was lucky to be able to retire a bit early and before that, I went the quiet quit route. Totally recommend doing the same while you look for a new job. I always knew David Wh--edani was a greedy, self-serving jerk but am still shocked at how low he’s willing to go in how he treats employees. The man has sold his soul.
“ What area(s) will be impacted?”
Case managers is what I’m hearing for phase 1.
What area(s) will be impacted? Does anyone know?
I wonder if the sept round will be given a notification with a termination date later in Oct, or if the layoffs will be immediate.
September makes sense, because if you get laid off between Oct-Dec you’re eligible for prorated bonus next March.
The next layoff is in September, and it will be very very significant across every department
JE- job elimination
What does "JE'" stand for
I’ve heard they’ve silently been telling people early of their upcoming JE’s for September. Rumor has it, it’s a fairly large hit.
It seems as if layoffs are on hold and the main focus is attrition. Hold on, do not quit. Instead quiet quit, take your breaks and do not do anything extra. Slow down productivity BIG time.
