My RIF was in November. There is no loyalty to you as an employee. Remember HR is not your friend or advocate, they are there to protect the company not you. If you have some time in the company, wait for the severance. There isn't a shortage of jobs out there for providers. If you have longevity and moved up in the salary range, you are at risk. Many if not most involved in my RIF were at 20 years or more. The projected culture is a lie. Trust no one.
