BTC Attrition

Don’t worry about BTC; attrition is through the roof and the culture is toxic thats become dog eat dog. Combo of growing too fast and accepting anyone with a technical degree versus right fit.

@1bch Again, we have an “engineer” at EMHC up on his soapbox.

And again, we remind you that the people who hold engineer’s job titles at EMHC don’t do any actual engineering work. You write/edit purchase specifications for your vendors, update spreadsheets, and rage-apply to jobs that you’re totally unqualified to hold while you’re sitting on Zoom with your mic and camera turned off, all to the tune of $180k - $250k per year base salary.

If you were performing high-level/high-value engineering work, your jobs would not be going to India in the first place. Get down off this soapbox once and for all.

BTC also hiring from college campuses. These campus hires are even more ignorant than the experienced hires. Then EM sends them to Spring Campus for training.

Very insulting that the HC10 trainer gets PIP’d while the id--ts he is training seem immune to the PIP system.

Houston employees subtly try to not share their knowledge and work and wrongly blame BtC engineers for not upholding quality of deliverables.

If you sincerely partner with your work friends overseas, maybe there could be a step change in EM’s value delivery.

Your mean behavior is very clear by the way as a classic American trait is - Speak the nicest words while you still mean the worst(born salesmen), but the eyes cannot lie and most cultures around the world can see that. It is disappointing, all this wealth and money yet soulless humans fighting everyday for dollars.

Have some compassion, human beings are having the same problems everywhere. If you are blessed to have more because of luck and geographical advantages of living in an invaded, captured, erasing prior cilivilizations and having no land borders — dont mistake it for your hard work. You’re just lucky.

India on the other hand is a 10000 yr old civilization that has been invaded looted hundres of times but still recovers and never goes out to invade others (even whn they were the richest in the world).

So read basic economics, hostory and educated yourself dear BTC hater. Driving lower cost helps you as well to retain your salary, while you last.

Only if the PDS system could be fixed to a normal bell curve with no lables, all of the companies issues will be diluted. But the ‘leadership’ wants employees to fight it out instead and create a toxic work culture.

We need to see beyond it and make it what we want it to be.

@1qoa+1tCm3wRY, if you re-read your response and the framing of it, that itself proves while BTC is built for cheap labor and cost only and not for any intellectually high graded roles. Now, be happy because you will get high graded roles moving into BTC but that's only because DW and the gang has sold their souls along with the company.

Here is a quote from a manager on campus:

“Instead of you completing this task in an hour,, please give the task to two BTC engineers and let them work it for 3 days and see what they produce, just for them to get some experience”

In summary, an HC10 guy can surely complete a task in 1 hour and it takes 48 BTC hours to potentially complete the same task, but EM managers are comparing the hourly rates assuming 1 to 1? After those 48 BTC hours, the HC10 guy is still needed to check their work.

The disasters will come when there are no longer enough HC10 checkers.

BTC rocks. All of you in the HC10 are so sc--wedd. We'll do all your jobs at a fraction of the cost and add the same value. We want Darren to the the CEO of the company forever. Go DW go. And the next CEO will be Suresh.

Attrition and turnover are not the same thing.

And if the work at EMHC actually required skill, it wouldn’t have been sent to BTC to begin with.
