Microsoft has concluded diversity is “no longer business critical” and has laid off staff working on inclusion initiatives, a former employee has claimed.
The technology company has disbanded a team working on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies because of “changing business needs”, according to the former Microsoft team leader.
In an email sent to Microsoft employees and seen by Business Insider, the company manager said: “True systems-change work associated with DEI programs everywhere are no longer business critical or smart as they were in 2020.”
Maybe Microsoft Lite will follow suit.
