Probably more operationally affective to hire 10 people from India or Mexico for the price of 1 US employee. Probably why they slow rolling the layoffs like they are and training them up month after month. They seem to be deaf to the fact most Windstream customers want to be understood and helped quickly. Good job Executive team. Way to keep your finger on the pulse and your hand on your wallet at the same time. Would love to be a fly on the wall at your next interview explaining your successes at Windstream.

We skipped skeleton and went to marrow. Clearly we are are setup for a sale and NOT a successful business. This last round tells me that it was a financial decision and not a technical one. At the end of the day we need someone to install or troubleshoot the network. We let all of the talent go.

Jobs are continuing to go offshores and to contractors no doubt. This has been the plan for quite some time but like previous comments have said, Windstream doesn't have the fortitude or integrity to let the employee's know.

Becoming a skeleton crew? Most departments have been understaffed for a long long time. Clearly Windstream is benefiting by doing the layoffs in smaller batches. They are redirecting a lot of work off shore. Until the teams off shore are ramped up, it's a slow death for those left behind. Windstream never addresses the layoffs and what their business plan is going forward . With the town hall meetings, it's always been smoke and mirrors. "Nothing to see over here." There is no work. There is barely a sales team. There's not enough revenue to justify the current head count. In Service Delivery, there are no orders to manage. Unless you have a major Enterprise project, you're not getting any orders. They're all going offshore. The customers must have a certain revenue requirement to get a PM/PC assigned to them. A friend was just laid off and took the news horribly. They had refused to believe they would be "chosen" to be laid off prior to it happening. Prepare yourself folks. It's happening all around us. It has been for years. Get your resume ready If it's not, it's a matter of time. No time is a good time to be laid off. I'm thinking ahead. I do not want to be laid off around the holidays. I've had my resume out there for a minute and hope to be gainfully employed somewhere else soon.

Becoming? Lol. Been a skeleton crew for years and now even thinner. But don't worry - Paul Sunu lacks the intestinal fortitude to even discuss these actions.

Its time to make the most of your time left here, and collect a paycheck while doing the bare minimum while lounging at the pool and waiting for the inevitable.

You could take a couple office chairs and monitors and build that awesome monitor setup from the movie Swordfish.

Unfortunately all the sloots from DNOC are either gone or have moved up so you won't be able to recreate that scene where he's trying to break into the computers which was part of his interview process.

I don't remember my interview being anything like that when I came to work here. My exit from this company really resembled the ending of Requiem for a Dream. No I'm not the guy that got his arm cut off or the guy that ended up in prison.
