Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Centene Advocates

For those who come here and constantly defend Centene against real life concerns....

If they are so great then why the low STARS ratings and continuous loss of contracts? What say you!!!??

The people who defend them are the su-k ups who are so delusional that they think having their head inserted in a* will get them somewhere…

I feel like my attitude now is that 9f the 'stapler dude' from that movie Office Space, lol. This place is poorly run, incompetent and takes absolutely no accountability on numerous issues brought forth over many years. It is to the point now that it is said often "we don't want provider to file a state complaint" in emails because so many have already done so. I don't blame these providers ONE BIT and almost wish I could help them file their complaints. This place is slowly crumbling. I'm just patiently waiting for my time to exit 😌

The quality scores are a direct reflection of not working as one team. Markets want to do their own thing and stay local, corporate wants a National brand. Sandwiched in between are operations areas that still do things differently depending on which company they originally started with.

That decentralized model, couple with leaders who don’t have the b*%ls to force them into a national model is really hurting the enterprise. It makes every supporting component more difficult and yes…makes quality hard to maintain.

It's absolutely confusing how anyone could defend them. They are not only being sued but are losing medicaid contracts left and right for overcharging for Rx and taking advantage of members/providers during the pandemic. This is why they moved to this rushed and not remotely thought through shared services model and several Medicaid lines are being transitioned into Marketplace. Let's not forget they lost that 65 billion dollar contract with Tricare. Oh and they also sold all of their clinics and hospitals in the UK market. The icing on the cake is that most of the jobs left that are not member facing will now be outsourced offshore because they don't have to abide by U.S. labor laws. I swear that just having Centene on my CV is why I cannot land another job. How do you do that when the last 7 years is working for them? The layoffs will keep coming as they dismantle the company and sell. I cannot foresee anyone thinking it would be worth the investment at this point.

I get the same, and it's so embarrassing and deflating! I never have a comeback, and it is the one thing that ever made me second guess my ability to make good decisions.

I only worked for them for little over a year, and I can't wait to replace that time with something else on my resume. I'm going to completely delete them and move forward like it never happened.

Centene is a joke and they buy companies to try and better their horrible star ratings.

Every time someone find out where I work, all they say is “I’m sorry” and some even add “I used to work for them and it was the worst job I ever had. It actually pushed me to drink”

I am actually embarrassed of letting people know where I work. But I know I’m being laid off, so gonna wait to collect the severance package.

I’d also like to add, they have been sued (and lost) for overcharging customers….Customers that are mostly on fixed incomes.
