Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Constructive Firing? Quiet Firing? Hostile Work Environment?

What are your opinions on constructive firing, quiet firing, and hostile work environment? Do you believe that since the RIF in September 2023 (or even earlier the beginning of 2023) that they have changed performance metrics for employees to such unobtainable heights that they are using the anticipated failure as a way to put you on a PIP and terminate you? This applies to all employees whether you are member facing or admin support.

Currently actively finding any possible way to make metrics simply impossible to meet so they can put you on a PIP and fire you. Or making it so stressful to try to meet those metrics that you quit...

I have personally seen requirements for my role that are not on my job description. Asked for help and it was not received. The multiple times of pointing out needs have resulted in future improvements but I remain reputational damaged by the lack of support. I’m trying my hardest to fix this broken situation but am not confident the effort is worth the time at this point. The only attention that is given seems to be negative. Not motivational as the values of the org aim to achieve. Feeling like days are numbered. This OP spoke to me.

Passing over promotions, no raise, all of the sudden your manager says you are performing “badly” when a couple of months before you were considered one of the best, management does not communicate clearly with you.

Rules about scheduling/staffing that will make you incur OT ( like mandatory OT) whilst said OT is counted against your productivity numbers, inevitably will put everyone on PIP.
When questioned about that, the best answer a manager could come up with is “ Just work faster”.
Since its became Shared Services, i feel like everyone has been on a PIP.

Like making up a brand new "As a condition of employment" that you didn't sign when you took the job years ago? Yes... I was fired for that.
