First day was last Monday, position gone four days later. Supposedly new position. Still haven’t heard anything. next Friday is my last day

You really think they care about other execs? They care about themselves and will do whatever it takes to keep their position and their money or they'll jump ship before the ship can take them down with it.
You don't think that if they could get rid of another exec's position and get more money for themselves that they wouldn't do it in a heartbeat because they "care" about other execs? I don't think you've been in corporate america long.
For profit is exactly that, profit and we're the ones sacrificed or used up until we can be sacrificed. It's sad and a shame really.
So sorry, why bother to hire someone just to lay them off 2 weeks later. They should at least offer a new position within the company.
