This will be every production worker in the valley, soon. Corning intends to remove all production operations from the area by 2027.

I hear September. From what people tell me the new CTO, from comments made from previous position, is not fond of Corning RDE. Seems he is acting on this now. The CEO questions RDE worth. Actions paint a picture of their RDE being substantially reduce if not eliminated.

Hearing more valley layoffs are coming…more budget cuts. Feeling, at least, the valley is in a death spiral. No communication from top level management. It’s like they are sitting on the sidelines just watching it all unfold.

That refers to Fairport. Corning is leaving the Corning valley by 2027. Fairport will inevitably follow when the state subsidy ends. If the Governor is so concerned with this company and it's employees, that money would fund Corning, Painted Post and Erwin facilities. They are the historic bread and butter. It's over, folks. Accept it and act accordingly.

Politics aside, NY doesn’t want to lose Corning. https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-hochul-announces-corning-incorporateds-139-million-investment-grow-operations-monroe

I don’t understand, is the expectation for all higher level positions who live in/near Corning to just move to a different state or will they all just be replaced?

You won't hear a peep. Use your brain. Leave the company and the state before you waste any more of your time.

The executives must be happy! Their non-cash compensation is going thru the roof with the stock, bubble, being so high.

All the while closing buildings, minimizing raises, minimizing budgets, and laying off people and giving people little incentive to stay.

I have been at this company 21 years and never have seen moral so darn low! Not a peep out of executive management to address it.

To the contrary, leaving a state that bleeds businesses dry is actually a good decision.

They have to blame their abysmal performance on something else than bad management…. This is what “the smartest guys in the room” do. Shame on them!!!
