Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Sadly this company doesn't seem to think pay rises for employees are important so I expect the company will experience financial challenges unti

I think it's bad business practice not to give payrises as inflation is always above 0% so the employees are getting a worse deal for being loyal to the company and for people who take on extra work increasing the companies profitability. This approach of no pay rises basically promotes the why bother putting myself out thoughts. Sort sighted approach that I believe does the company more damage than the money it saves.

There are plenty of examples of companies that are doing very well and compensate their employees very well with reinforces the quote 'look after your employees and they will look after you'.

Sadly this company doesn't seem to think pay rises for employees are important so I expect the company will experience financial challenges until they do!

@OP+1t7y3OQJ I agree you all stay working for DXC with no merit pay increases for years and NOW you want a pay increase.

If you want a pay increase then change employment if you can and if you can’t find anyone to hire your sorry a-s, then be grateful you have a paying job, health insurance and paid time off

correction

They aren’t important as you all keep working and supporting our customers with no pay raises for 8-10 years.

If it’s possible you would have already changed employment, since you can’t find a better employer then do your job and stop being such a crybaby

the execs

And who isn't doing well...

Staff
Clients

It’s not a one way street, that’s what these greedy executives don’t realise.

If the company isn’t doing well, why are they being paid for their abject failures??!!

The org model is wrong??!? Joe blogs didn’t fu--ing create the organization model. A snr executive did. But the executive STILL gets paid VERY WELL regardless, but Joe gets told to work harder!!

This isn’t an organisation set up for employees, never has been. They literally do not give a fu-k. Work for peanuts of fu-k off is their motto.

I agree good article online.

https://www.guardiansupport.co.uk/blog/how-often-should-you-give-your-employees-a-pay-rise/#:~:text=Rewarding%20your%20employees%20with%20a,work%20isn't%20going%20unnoticed.

"If you refuse a pay rise request then you must prepare for the fact that you may end up losing your employee or that you may see a decline in their productivity and performance – this is something to consider when coming to your decision.

However, you can encourage your employee by providing them with constructive feedback on how they can improve their work in order to potentially get a pay rise in the future."
