Was the DEI talk just in Network? In Towers, leadership rarely mentioned diversity aside from those discussion cards.
A lot of folks at Crown have been here for 10-20 years, so maybe they don’t realize that many Fortune 500 companies have affinity groups and do things like recognize Black History Month or support local events like the Pride Parade. This isn’t just some trendy tech start-up nonsense. Other companies do these things way more often and on a much bigger scale than Crown ever has.
I’m not here to argue if these gestures actually help anyone and I’m not saying Crown should copy other big companies' DEI initiatives. I just wonder how some of these anti-DEI posters would handle working at any other large company.
