Anyone else asked to upload their resume and create a career profile in Workday by 6/28? Does this mean we are being looked at for 8/8 RIF?

I always wondered what criteria is used to select staff for RIF. Can a People Manager share some insight?
The names for the 8/8 RIF were finalized on June 6.
This has nothing to do with RIFs, it is just something HR wants you to do as part of a workforce modernization effort. This was talked about in a manager's forum several months ago.
Manager here….people might flame away but here is the truth.
If you are targeted for the 8/8 RIF then your name is already in the mix. There’s not much that is going to be able to change it at this point. Managers had been asked to submit names earlier in the month and to do so without delay. If I had to wager, I assume this is some leftover HR task your org has just got around to telling everyone about.
We were told in a general meeting months ago that it was a good idea to update our profiles in Workday but we were never given a date or anything. Mine has been updated since day 1 of getting Workday. I learned it was the best thing to do when I worked for Humana as they had constant RIF’s.

Probably so. I was part of the RIF effective 5/31. They got rid of our whole area but let several associates go work for Deloitte. Maybe a month or so prior to this they told us to update our career profile and resume on Workday. What I can take from this is that this is how they decided who could continue employment and who was just flat out sh** out of luck. I had the misfortune of being out on disability when they had us update this.
OP…you may just want to be on the side of caution and put your best foot forward on Workday.
They had asked us to update ours earlier last this year. They definitely did not ask us to upload our resume. I also don't remember if I already had it uploaded. I thought everyone was supposed to update their profile by some date.
Why do it at all? Don't they know who they already have working for them? How goddam disconnected are they, anyway?
They had us update that months ago. Doesn't mean anything.
