Thread regarding USAA layoffs

bank fraud roles

There are so many opening up can I get some honest feedback on these roles? Good bad or ugly! I would think there is job security in that these days

LOL USAA is so arrogant! They will never learn that they are governed by these other organizations to act fairly.

The only reason there is "job security" and that these roles exist in the first place is USAAs unefficteivess and unwillingness to identify, combat and mitigate their fraud. They have multiple open consent orders as a result. Expect long hours and micromanagement in addition if they ever do get out of the backlog and consent order these jobs will be gone. You will learn no skills here aside from learning how to file as many widgets as you can.

I suggest you look for another place, this is not a good place

Dunno.

When the fraud backlog is over, who knows where the extras that were brought over from aml or kyc will end up.

Aml is bloated as it is.

Mandatory OT. No work/life balance.

Learn how to grow with the firm or choose to move on. If a consent order is approaching or in process, then learn how to adapt to strengthen the firm. After your work is done, make a choice to commit or leave. Working at USAA is a choice, not a life of indentured servitude!

Yeah i guess there is security, but pay is slight below aml and is more detail oriented. You have to call members too…
