Oracle Layoff

Does Oracle include a hush payment element in payoff packages? Ie an NDA to stop people talking to the media

NDAs are not enforceable when exposing illegal criminal activity. .
Legislator made that clear.

Why do you think so little true dirt gets out even stuff in public San Mateo County court records? NDA or intimations of litigation.

Yes. And I should have not signed it and told them to pound sh-t after they offered me 3 weeks + 1 week for each year of service as their lame excuse for a severance package. Oracle is a fu--ing joke. Leave while you can.

I don't know about US but in Europe to enforce a NDA when you're not in employment requires compensation.

Inflammatory, problematic only when if it’s told, right? Wrong. It mattered when it happened. Truth will be told.

Why do people have such a hard time answering questions like this?

"Yes" there have historically been clauses governing what you say/publish about the company. This is above and beyond an "NDA" which should be focused on technology, processes and other intellectual property. "Boss X is an ar--hole" and similar inflammatory stuff could be problematic.

If you have the financial means, I would wait to accept the package on the chance you get re-employed quickly. That keeps you free to publish about your experiences (assuming you want to say bad things).

Even then, good things are restricted, as well, as I recall. Basically, "Here's some money. Don't talk to the media about this".

NDA does not cover illegal activities.
Just remember the person(s) that caused harm has full responsibility for their own actions. . Oracle doesn’t know or support abuse to other individuals and to the Corp.

Saying there is an NDA isn't wrong. Yes, but depends on the position.
