Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Could and Should we Whistleblow, Sue, Class Action-like, Unionize

Feeling talked down to by leadership, including constant pressure and now, since Optum performance reviews gained line of sight to our 2023 performances review, just being blatantly harassed every week up to daily with subjective so called “data mining” with the noose ever tightening with year end performance goals already updated to Pass/Fail with further addendum’s of CLL behavior selected to now become mandatory inclusions. Does not even seem to be a date at which changes to the 2024 Performance Review are considered taboo to further make us all fall to a CAP in 2025. If you are not, selected by the “rubric” for layoff first. This kind of short sighted, show a profit for our shareholders by… will make a few people much richer, happier for a week and yes we benefit in the short term. But make no mistake. It is artificial. Changes must be made to correct and recover. Otherwise capitalism itself is not sustainable -trickle down will not occur. And if widespread enough, it will begin to show up in the economy. Clean up you act UHC. Put your big girl pants on, grow up and evolve your brains past money and power. Fo what best you can do at this point, to act on the data breach. And rise above it. Because if not. I hope Karma will follow each of you as you deserve. Even if we can’t.

I think if you focus less on guzzling Starbucks and rolling out of bed at 10, your job will be safe.

Work at home has failed for this company.

  1. whistleblowing is for illegal stuff. if Optum were, say, padding profits by selling co----e on the side, then yes--we could tell people.
  2. suing is for genuine grievance where you have no other avenue. if you decide to sue a multi-billion-dollar company for being hard to work for, PLEASE let us know. seriously. I want video.
  3. ...see point 2 above.
  4. I guess you haven't heard about Walmart vs. Meat Department Union. feel free to google it. there are a few variations to the story, but the crux is this: the meat department people said, "hey--we think we want to form a union in our department." Walmart said, "cool. cool." and depending on which version of the story you hear, Walmart either got rid of all the meat departments or closed that entire store. but that couldn't possibly happen anywhere else could it? NAAAAH.

I’m no longer there with you all. I feel bad for those of you that remain. I was just throwing those 3 ideas to see what thoughts are currently. For those seeking employment right now, things are pretty bleak. Lots of jobs posted. Not much hiring. Stay strong folks.

ha ha ha unionize grow up. Endless supply of cheap labor offshore so that will speed up the process of onshore liquidation. Class action that is a hoot too they have deep pockets and will drag you for years til bled dry. The attorneys will then get all the money if they is a settlement that admit no wrongdoing and you get 10 cents.

They are no different than any other large corporation, don’t take it personally. If you’re unhappy, leave.
