Per a number of sources, Allstate is paying up to $50M a year to rename the Big 12 to “Big Allstate”. Thought it was a joke at first but I’m seeing it all over now.
That’s a lot of people to lay off to fund $50M a year…

This company is just evil and vile. Openly doing this after impacting many families and lives....and not at all for the better.

500 applause points is $5.00. So embarrassing to express this to friends who work for other insurance companies who get $10-15k annual bonus. Please lay me off. It will be the biggest bonus I will ever get here. They won’t lay off the work horses so I don’t have a chance. I will have to leave without severance or unemployment if I want out that bad. Yep. I’m a boomer.

So, the company that has been hiking rates through the roof, that just laid off 8% of its workforce at the end of last year and will continue to layoff people as it farms their jobs off to the 3rd world, the company that lost billions for several quarters in a row; that company has $50 million/year to buy naming rights to a CFB conference.
Keep that in mind next time you get 500 applause points or one of the SVPs tells you how much they appreciate what you do. Or one of the clowns in this circus pontificates about how 'pumped' they are about the value you're collectively producing.

Existing student players will have to “retest” for their positions, high school scouts will require a tetris test before making an offer, all assistant coaches, coordinators, and support staff will be cut, and redshirts will have a new title: blueshirts.
