Two things that will happen here... One, whatever they do will be ill thought out.... And Two, it won't be completed before they claim victory.
This is the reason why the place is a constant mess.
Drop ALL management, and just farm us out to the clients as body-shop resources that they can task as required and pay a fair price for where employees get a percentage of the charge out rate. DXC has a resource pool with useful skills. Just that most of the time we're hampered from delivering due to pointless paperwork.
Ofcourse there are lots of muddle managers in the company - but more so in the internal functions like HR, shared services, supply chain, IT, finance etc. They have never met a real customer in their career and have no understanding of the business - replicon dxc time checkers
I know there are some who are just "managers", but in my group many of the leaders are engineers and architect's themselves, and often contributing to systems development and/or billable work. Other problem is India has a ton of "Managers" because the India HR turned everyone over a job level 5 into a Manager Job code. To make a statement that lots of managers must go is just plain stupid. Job titles mean almost nothing at DXC because the job architecture is so messed up. Good Luck with getting it all right when they execute this plan.
